When it somes time for an inspection, many ask what what does an inspection cover? Our inspections cover the following:
 Lot & Landscaping
The lot and the landscaping is inspected to check for porper drainage. the sidewalks are inspected for safety. We want to be sure that we find any problems that might cost you money in the future.  Foundation/Crawlspace/Basement
What we look for in the foundation is obvious signs of settling, water damage, etc.  All Exterior
The exterior of the house is inspected to find damage, dry rot, insect infestation, safety issues, aminal intrusion etc.  Roof
The roof is inspected to reveal any shingle damage and other signs of wear & tear that may need to be addressed.  Attic
The attic is inspected to reveal signs of water leakage and to check for animal intrusion, fire hazards etc.
 Chimney
Its obious that the chimney can out live the rest of the house, but there are specific things we look for to be sure that the chimney is a safe one.  Structural
All houses are not created equal, so we look for signs of structural failure, dry rot, insect infestation etc.
 Heat/AC
The heating & air conditioning is inspected for proper installation & operation. This can be a costly bill if it isnt working properly.  Electrical
The electrical system through out the house is inspected to be sure its is operating and was installed or repaired properly.
 Plumbing
Plumbing repairs can be extensive and expensive. The system is inspected to be sure that everything is working properly.  Kitchen
All kitchen appliances are inspected to be sure that they are in safe working condition.
 All Interior
All areas of the interior are inspected to find signs of damage, insect infestation, windows, doors, switches, outlets etc.  Insulation
In a world called Perfect we would be able to peel back the walls to see what condition the insulation is in, however we can check to see if insulation is where it needs to be and if it is in good condition.
 Fireplaces/Solid Fuel Burning Appliances
The fire place is inspected to ensure its safe operation and for signs of damage.  Pool/Spa
If there is a pool or spa, we will inspect is for signs of damage, check to be sure its safe, and all systems are working properly. |
